22.10.2014  Across the generations

On October 20, the NovSU Student Union organized the 7th traditional chess-checkers tournament “Experience and Ingenuity of the City of Chess and Checkers” under support of the deputy of Novgorod Regional Duma and the Rector of the University Viktor Weber. Students and residents of “Novgorod House of Veterans” nursing home took part in the tournament. This competition is a part of a series of events called “Across the Generations”.

There was an incredible fight between the students and the older generation. All prizes were won by the residentss of the house of veterans, who were then given medals and certificates of honour. In addition to the competition, participants with pleasure took part in tea drinking.

The game was held in the atmosphere of interesting conversations, which made the students very happy. In their turn, the residents of “Novgorod House of Veterans” felt regard and importance for the younger generation. We rejoice at the victory of veterans – senior mentors of our students.
