20.10.2016  Chair of the Russian and Foreign Literature presented a report at the International Conference in Yerevan

On October 14-16, the XII International scientific and practical conference "N. M. Karamzin: Russian and National Literatures" took place in Yerevan. For historical reasons, Armenians always, at various times, showed undying interest in culture and literature of other nations and, first of all, in Russian literature. The conference was organized by the Yerevan Brusov State University of Languages and Social Sciences, the Armenian public organization of cultural cooperation with foreign countries, society of friendship Armenia-Russia.

 

At the conference, 38 reports from the scientific and cultural centers of Russia, the countries of the FSU and beyond were heard: Italy, Germany, China, Slovakia, Georgia, Armenia. The Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University of was represented by the chair of the Russian and Foreign Literature Natalya Ivanova. She presented a report "Island Borngolm" of N. M. Karamzin and "Island of Sakhalin" of A. P. Chekhov: issues of refraction of art tradition".

Conference materials widely cover many-sided works of the writer, historian and large public figure of Russia N. M. Karamzin. The fundamental collection of materials published to opening of the Conference became the collective monograph having "encyclopedic" character.
