26.01.2014  Open Door Day at the NovSU School of Humanities

On January 26, there was the  Open Door Day at the  NovSU School of Humanities. On  that day, public school students and their parents from Veliky Novgorod and Novgorod  region visited the School.

Alexander Kuzmin, the director of the School, opened the meeting and presented in details the students training at the university, new trends of education in the humanities and about different degree programs. He invited everyone to study at NovSU. The deans of faculties presented their programs and revealed some vocational secrets to the prospective students.

Some NovSU alumni also visited the Open Door Day. They told where those who received education in the humanities can work. The director of the Record Office of the  Novgorod Region Modern  History Tatyana Voronina, the alumna of Historical Faculty, offered to the prospective students an opportunity to have an internship there with the  possibility of a  future  job placement. The graduate from the Philology Faculty Stanislav Tikhonov, the creator and the leader of advertising agency “Flavita”, marked that the humanitarian education is very important and advised everyone to choose his faculty. 

Later that day, Elena Toropova, the Deputy Director of the School, invited all the guests to visit departments. The prospective students could visit the Museum of the Traditional Culture, the Archeological Laboratory, the Center of Clerisy, and the Museum of the History of Journalism in Novgorod. 

The School canteen worked for all guests and offered hot tea and baking.
