25.03.2017  The first group of pensioners will get their Certificates on the Completion of free computer courses at NovSU

On March 24, at 12 am the final lesson and the award of certificates on the successful completion of the courses for the first group of pensioners, who have studied under the program "Computer Education for the Older Generation" took place at Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University (Antonovo, new building, room 209).

The certificates were  awarded  to the "students" by NovSU President Anatoly Gavrikov. 

The project of free lessons on computer competence for non-working pensioners is implemented by the regional department of the Union of The Elderly of Russia under support of the branch of the Pension Fund of the Russian Federation in the Novgorod Region. NovSU acts as a partner of the project. 

This year, 100 pensioners have been trained on the basis of NovSU under the program "Computer education for the older generation". In addition, remote learning for computer skills of pensioners is offered in Borovichi, Staraya Russa, Valdai and Malaya Vishera. 

In total, 290 elderly people will learn how to use a computer and the Internet for free in the Novgorod region.
