29.04.2017 Mister NovSU-2017 The VII university competition “Mister NovSU” took place in the concert hall of the School of Humanities (Antonovo) on April 27. 11 students competed for the title of “Mister NovSU”: 7 representatives of NovSU institutes, 3 representatives of NovSU colleges and one international student from Africa. They were: Grigory Osipov (College of Medical Education), Dmitry Smirnov (School of Economics and Management), Valery Savelyev (Polytechnic School), Vladislav Kuzmin (School of Continuous Pedagogical Education), Yury Yakovlev (College of Humanities and Economics), Alexander Matveyev (Polytechnic College), Abu Bonsra Prince (Institute of Medical Education), Razmik Asatryan (School of Humanities), Ilya Belyashov (School of Agriculture and Natural Resources), Pavel Alekseenko (School of Medical Education), Ilya Makarov (School of Electronic and Information Systems). This is the seventh “Mister NovSU” competition held in Veliky Novgorod. Every year, the show is dedicated to a certain theme: the Olympic Games, Military and Patriotic Traditions, Heroes of Our Time, Superheroes, etc. This year, the theme of “Mister NovSU” was "The Year of Tourism Development" (the theme designated by the United Nations). During the event, the participants represented different cities and countries, showed their talents, performed a joint dance and competed in an improvisational intellectual challenge. Artists were invited to perform between the challenges. At last, the winners in individual nominations and the “Mister NovSU-2017” were announced: Alexander Matveyev from Polytechnic College was awarded “Mister Drive” title. He got a special certificate from a driving school “Voditel’ Plus”, which were given to other competitors as well. Vladislav Kuzmin from the School of Continuous Pedagogical Education became “The Most Confident”. The international student from the School of Medical Education Abu Bonsra Prince was awarded in the nomination “The Best Sense of Rhythm”. The representative of School of Electronic and Information Systems Ilya Makarov became “The Most Creative”. “The Best Sense of Humor” award was given to Yury Yakovlev from the College of Humanities and Economics. Ilya Belyashov from the School of Agriculture and Natural Resources became “The Most Manful”. The College of Medical Education representative, Grigory Osipov, won in “The Most Stylish” nomination. Pavel Alekseenko, the School of Medical Education, became “The Most Talented”. “The Most Intelelctual” award went to Dmitry Semyonov from the School of Economics and Management. Pavel Savelyev from Polytechnic School was awarded “The Most Athletic”. Razmik Asatryan, the School of Humanities, became “The Mister Gentleman”. The “Audience Choice Award” went to Valery Savelyev, Polytechnic School. Pavel Aleekseenko from the School of Medical Education became the “Mister NovSU-2017”.
