16.03.2017  Future lawyers participated in the Open Day at the regional Electoral commission

On March 14, first year students of NovSU Law Department participated in the Open Day at the Electoral commission of the Novgorod region.

In the opening speech, the commission chairperson Tatyana Lebedeva told about various aspects of the electoral system of the Russian Federation, and also in detail explained the principles of creation of the electoral commissions at the federal and regional levels. Besides, students were acquainted with a regulatory framework of the selective mechanisms, told about the State Automated System of the Russian Federation "Elections" intended for automation of the election process. 

Particular interest was attracted by business game "The organization of holding the voting day on a local referendum". For one hour, the assembly hall turned into the voting station with screens for secret vote, glass ballot boxes, and ballots. All students could participate in holding a local referendum as members of the electoral commission and voters.
