This week, an exhibition dedicated to Soren Kierkegaard's (1813-1855) bicentenary was opened in the Novgorod Scientific Library. The exhibition reflectsed his life stages, his literary and philosophy heritage. The opening ceremony started with a Head of Danish Cultural Institute Finn Anderson's speech about the philosopher's role and place in the world culture, his influence on modern, especially existential, philosophy. Sergey Devyatkin, the representative of the NovSU Philosophy Faculty, told about troublesome perception of Kierkegaard's philosophy in Russia. His brilliant speech was rewarded with the letter of gratitude from the Library administration. English |
