24.04.2013 NovSU is a Qualified Partner of the International “Kingfestival” On 25-29 April, Novgorod Theatre for Children and Youth “Mali” will hold the 12th International Theatre Kingfestival. Novgorod State University is a qualified partner of the festival. NovSU students of different programs will participate in the festival as volunteers. Besides, Jesper la Cour Andersen, actor and director from “The Telling Theatre” (Copenhagen, Denmark) will give a master class and Prof. Dr. Hasan Erkek will deliver a lecture about the history of Turkish theatre to NovSU students. And of course students are the major part of the audience who go to the theatres as spectators. This year, the festival will take place on 3 stages: Novgorod Philharmonic Hall, Drama Theatre and Theatre for Children and Youth "Mali", the organizer of the festival. Being the largest theatrical project of Veliky Novgorod, this festival takes place every other year and connects the best Russian, European and Asian theatrical productions in the sphere of drama theatre, modern choreography and puppet theatre. This year the program dedicated to mythology includes performances for spectators of all ages. Several countries will take part in this festival for the first time - Japan (theatre “Chiten”, Kyoto), Belgium (theatre company “Nevski Prospekt”), Turkey (Eskisehir greater municipality city theatres) and Great Britain (Arad Goch theatre, Wales). During 5 days of the festival, Novgorod spectators will see 23 performances. 14 countries will participate in the rich schedule of festival performances; there will be presentations from Russia, Denmark, Japan, Turkey, France, Belgium, Poland, Bulgaria, Hungary, Great Britain, Switzerland, Lithuania, Czech Republic and Spain. Besides, Novgorod will be visited by representatives of festivals from South Korea, Finland, Austria, Latvia, Germany, Liechtenstein, Serbia, Estonia, and Spain. English |
