18.10.2013  Literary scholars continue to talk about Velimir Khlebnikov and Russian avant-garde

Today an international conference “Velimir Khlebnikov and Russian avant-garde” continues its work at NovSU School of Humanities. The Conference was opened yesterday and scholars who research the poet’s work from many Russian cities, as well as from the USA and The Netherlands came to Veliky Novgorod to take part in it.

During the morning session "Issues of Velimir Khlebnikov’s Life and Work", ten reports were presented at this meeting, among them - «Similes and Metaphors in Khlebnikov’s work» by Willem Weststeijn from Amsterdam.

During the evening session “Khlebnikov Tradition in the Works of Russian Writers and Socio-Cultural Space in Russian Avant-garde”, twelve  speakers would share the results of their researches. 

Tomorrow, on October 19^th, Conference’s participants will tour to Michael-Klopsky Monastery. Then, there will be the closing session «Russian Literature - 1913 ". Results of the conference will be summed up at 02:30pm.
