19.10.2016 Chair of Russian and Foreign Literature presented a report at the International Conference in Yerevan On October 14-16, the XII International scientific and practical conference "N. M. Karamzin: Russian and national literatures" took place in Yerevan (Armenia). Historically it developed so that at various times, Armenians showed undying interest in culture and literature of other nations and, first of all, to the Russian literature. And this conference was organized by the Yerevan State University of Languages and Social Sciences namend after V. Ya. Bryusov, the Armenian Public Organization of Cultural Cooperation with Foreign Countries, Armenia-Russia Friendship Society.
38 reports of the scientific and cultural centers from Russia, and the countries of the FSU and beyond - Italy, Germany, China, Slovakia, Georgia, Armenia - were presented at the conference. The Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University was represented by the chair of department of the Russian and foreign Literature Natalya Ivanova. She presented a report on a problem of refraction of art tradition based on "Island Borngolm" by N. M. Karamzin and "Island of Sakhalin" by A. P. Chekhov. Materials of the Conference extensively cover many-sided works of the writer, historian and great public figure of Russia N. M. Karamzin. The fundamental collection of materials published to opening of the Conference became the collective monograph having "encyclopedic" character. English |
