14.11.2008  NovSU delegation visited Gotland University (Visby, Sweden)on November5-10.

Representatives of International Relations Department, Institute of Economics and Administration (Department of Management and Business Administration) and Institute of Agriculture and Natural Resources (Department of Geography, Regional Geography and Tourism) of Novgorod State University were members of the delegation.  

The purpose of the visit to Gotland University was participation in the international conference «Cooperation of Russia, Sweden and Norway in the Field of Higher and Secondary Education», as well as carrying on negotiations with the representatives of Gotland University and signing of the Cooperation Agreement between the Universities.   

Reports on history and prospects of cooperation between NovSU, Gotland University and Telemark University College (Norway) in various spheres, as well as proposals on participation of NovSU in a new international project for 2009-2012 were presented by the NovSU lecturers and employees during the Conference. 

One of the major results of the visit to Gotland University was signing by the Rector Åke Sandström of a new termless bilateral cooperation agreement between NovSU and Gotland University. On November, 13th, 2008 the Agreement was signed by Rector of NovSU Viktor Veber.
