13.12.2018 Internship of NovSU students in Bielefeld (Germany) On 2-9 December, a group of students from the NovSU School of Economics and Management and the NovSU Humanitarian-Economic College successfully undertook an educational internship at the Rudolf-Rempel-Berufskolleg (Bielefeld, Germany). The internship was led by Anna Vetkina (Director of the Center for International Economic Research and Educational Projects, Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Theory) and Ludmila Mozul (director of the Humanitarian-Economic College). The ten-year cooperation with German colleagues is carried out within the framework of the joint project "Support for the Development of Intercultural Competence and Professional Opportunities of Young People in the Twin Cities of Veliky Novgorod and Bielefeld." Collaborative work is aimed at developing students' readiness for operational adaptation, improving language and key social skills (soft skills) and intercultural competencies.
During the internship, Russian and German students worked together in groups; they held several roundtable discussions and prepared a research project. Moreover, the program included joint learning sessions, seminars, excursions to manufacturing facilities, and acquaintance with the history and culture of Germany.
The advantage of this form of international activity is that the exchange is carried out on a parity currency-free basis, students are provided with full board in a host family. All the students received certificates of participation in the project. English |
