16.09.2013 Professors and students from the Lyceum of the Lodz University of Technology (Poland) visit NovSU The visit of the professors and students from the Lyceum of the Lodz University of Technology in Veliky Novgorod will take place on 15-25 September. The group includes the Director Tomasz Kozera, Deputy Director Jacek Andrzejczak, maths professor Piotr Wyrzykowski and eleven 1-3 year students. The visit is carried out in the framework of Cooperation Agreement between NovSU (NovSU colleges) and the College of the Lodz University of Technology signed December 2012 and the Students Exchange Agreement in May-September, 2013. The purpose of this visit is introduction to the Russian language and culture, communication with NovSU college students, discussion of plans and joint projects. The visit program is highly eventful: Firstly, Polish guests will visit all main sights of Veliky Novgorod and its surroundings – the Kremlin, Saint Sophia Cathedral, Yaroslav's Courtyard; exhibitions of Novgorod State Museum, Open-Air Museum of Wooden Architecture “Vitoslavlitsy”, Yuriev Monastery, the Church of St. George, Varlaamo-Hutinsky Monastery. The Polish students are going to take part in the master-class in making Russian doll amulets. Besides, psychological acquaintance games and a Russian language lesson which will be conducted by a psychologist and a professor from the NovSU College of Humanities-and-Economics will be organized for them. Secondly, the guests are going to visit ancient Russian towns Staraya Russa and Valday. In Staraya Russa, they will meet with Staraya Russa Polytechnic College students and professors who will organize an excursion around the town and Staraya Russa Resort. In Valday, the guests are going to visit a branch of the Agrotechnical College, the Bell museum and museums of the chief town of a uyezd Valday, the Iberian Monastery. Thirdly, the meeting with members of the Polish Friendship Society “Polonya” and a trip to Sankt-Petersburg will take place. This is the second visit of the Lyceum students and professors to NovSU; the first one took place in 2012. The delegation of NovSU college students visited Lodz in May 2013. To go to the Polish partners, NovSU college students take Polish language classes. English |
