27.03.2014  A new authorized Certiport Testing Center opened at NovSU

The official opening of the authorized Certiport Testing Center took place on March 27 in the main building of NovSU. NovSU students, faculty and staff members, representatives of local schools, government institutions and business participated in the event. 

With opening of the Center, NovSU students can get professional certificates, accepted worldwide, along with a Diploma of Higher Education.    Novgorod and Novgorod region locals will not have to go to Moscow or St. Petersburg in order to pass professional examinations. They can study at NovSU and take all the required tests (online examinations) for assignment of IT international professional certification of such world-known brands as Microsoft, НР, Autodesk, Adobe etc. 

One of the most popular certificates is Microsoft Office Specialist, which guarantees the high-level skill in office programs like Word, Excel, PowerPoint and is often required for employment as well as for skill qualification test. Another also demanded one is Internet and Computing Core Certification (IC), aimed for checking ‘digital literacy’ and the Internet skills. 

The official opening of the Center was followed by a public seminar dedicated to presentation of Microsoft Office 365, where leading specialists from Microsoft made their speech. This seminar was organized because a great IT project on mass implementation of Microsoft Office 365 was successfully realized at NovSU. Now, such popular applications as Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc. have become available to all the NovSU students and faculty members from any computer, tablet PC or mobile phone. More than that, a program Lync 2013 included in the Microsoft Office 365 package allows organization of educational online video conferences with advanced capabilities for unlimited range of persons.
