25.04.2013 NovSU School of Medical Education graduates learned about their prospective employment and social benefits NovSU SME graduates met with Sergei Kolesnikov, the deputy chairman of the Novgorod Region Health Committee, representatives of Human Resource Office of the Committee, and Rushan Sulimanov, the deputy director of the School of Medical Education. At present, the Novgorod region is lacking 347 physicians and 325 nurses. In the course of three years, Physicians’ salary has been increased on the average by 26% in order to enhance prestige of the profession. According to Novgorod Region Health Committee, the average salary of a health care professionals is 31 000 rubles per month. Also at the meeting the graduates learned about a social safety net – one million rubles installation grant for all of those who have chosen to work in the countryside. In 2012, 35 physicians received those grants. Professionals under 40 are entitled to compensation in 500,000.00 rubles to buy or build a real estate or pay for their mortgage. In addition, a new program «Staff Assistance of the Novgorod Region Public Health Service" was launched this year. English |
