05.04.2013  Future biologists, educational psychologists and primary school teachers – winners of the 8th NovSU Pedagogical Contest

On 4 April, the 8^th NovSU Pedagogical Contest took place at School of Continuous Pedagogical Education. As always, the event was perfectly organized by the NovSU Department of Education. This year, 11 teams from School of Humanities, School of Continuous Pedagogical Education, School of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and Polytechnic College of Staraya Russa participated in it. All the competitors demonstrated good knowledge and ability to reasonably defend their notion.

The contest included 3 tasks:

• “Great Educators of the Past in the Modern Times” - to identify an author of a given statement and provide an pedagogical analysis of the statement in view of the contemporary realities;
• “Pedagogical Situation” - to carry out a psychology and pedagogical analysis of a modern school life situation and prove various ways of its alternate solution and consecutive after-effects,
• “Pedagogical Puzzle” - to solve a crossword puzzle consisting of pedagogical notions and guess an encoded keyword.

Future biology teachers became the winners of the contest; educational psychologists got the second place and the third one went to future primary school teachers.

The next stage of the vocational and creative contest for future teachers - a traditional students’ competition in pedagogical mastery, the final phase of which will take place at Polytechnic College on April 25.

The next gathering of candidates for participation in the competition will take place on April 10 at School of Continuous Pedagogical Education.
