21.05.2014 International delegations visited the NovSU School of Humanities in Antonovo Delegations from Poland, Turkey and the United States visited the NovSU School of Humanities during the Week of International Cooperation.
The meeting began with a visit to the University Temple of Candlemas, where Elena Toropova, the Deputy Director of the School, told the guests about the history of the temple and development of education in Veliky Novgorod.
After that, guests were invited to the Multimedia Training Laboratory at the Faculty of Philosophy, responsible for introduction of multimedia tools into the educational process.
In the Laboratory of Archeology, professor Kirill Samoylov acquainted guests with the results of archaeological excavations in Staraya Russa. Cultural layer in this city, as well as in Veliky Novgorod, according to the story, was perfectly preserved and archaeological expedition discovered thousands of finds, including birch bark documents. In the Laboratory of Ethnography, international partners were presented the results of the ten-year work of ethnographic expedition in Novgorod region, in which students of the Faculty of Philosophy took part. Finally, guests met with the leadership of the NovSU School of Humanities, who presented main directions of education at the School. At the end of the meeting, the international guests visited the research library. English |
