14.12.2013  “International MIX” Pilot Project of the Students Union

On 12 December, NovSU Students Union launched implementation of the “International MIX” pilot project. The goal of the project is to adapt international students to the Russian reality. 

Students from 38 counties study  at Novgorod State University, but only representatives of eight countries took part in this project: Ghana, Congo, Cote d'Ivoire, Zambia,Tunisia, Jordan, Israel, Syrian Arab Republic and, of course, Russia. The presenters of this project were students from Russia and Ghana. 

Students who recently came to Novgorod State University to study at the Preparatory Department demonstrated their talents. R’n’B songs, real African dances, rap compositions of Russian and Ghanaian students, national Arabic dance “Dabka”, oriental belly dance, and  etc. were presented to the audience at the conference hall of NovSU School of Humanities. At the end, all the students performed the famous Russian song “Katyusha”. 

Projects like this are priority for the NovSU Students Union, because during events like those, students from different counties have an opportunity to get to know better each other, communicate and become friends.
