28.09.2016 The NovSU Center for Korean Language and Culture was among the organizers of the Festival "Fragrance of Korea" On Saturday, 24 September, the Cultural center "Acron" hosted the first festival of Korean culture in Veliky Novgorod "Fragrance of Korea", dedicated to the traditional Korean Harvest Festival – Chuseok (also called "The great middle of autumn"). The festival was organized by the NovSU Center for Korean Language and Culture and the Central children's library named after Vitaly Bianki. Guests of the festival were greeted by a Korean teacher, Mr. Kim Inho. Visitors tasted Korean cuisine (Korean rolls - kimbap, tteok - steam rice cakes, sikhye - dessert, non-alcoholic rice drink and others), took part in a Korean folk games and quizzes. Also there was an open lesson of the Korean language for everyone, and the concert program, which included folk and popular Korean songs and k-pop dances.
