23.05.2011   II International Forum “Music Performance and Pedagogy” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of A.S. Arensky

Within the framework of the Week of International Cooperation of NovSU, the II International Forum “Music Performance and Pedagogy” dedicated to the 150th anniversary of A.S. Arensky took place in Veliky Novgorod on 18-21 May, 2011.

 Program of the Forum was reach of various bright events:
-    Competition of young musicians.
-    International scientific conference “Music education yesterday, today and tomorrow”.
-    Concerts by professional and young musicians.
-    Seminars on music pedagogy issues.
-    Master-classes for students and teachers.
-    Art exhibitions.
-    Fair of music arrangements and transcriptions.
-    Guided tours of Veliky Novgorod.

The Forum served preservation and popularization of cultural heritage of outstanding Russian composes A.S. Arenskiy, S.V. Rakhmaninov, N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov, A.K. Lyadov who was born and living in Novgorod region, preservation and development of cultural potential of the nation.

 Оbjectives of the Forum:
-   Promotion of musical heritage of the composer, pianist, conductor, and teacher A.S. Arensky;
-   Preservation of  cultural heritage of Russia;
-   Building of common cultural area;
-   Creation of conditions for preservation and development of cultural potential of the nation;
-   Support of young talents;
-   Provision of international cultural exchange.

About 200 competitors took part in the forum-competition from Russia, China and Estonia in the following nominations:
