Дисфемизмы и их роль в англоязычных фильмах 

Статья посвящена исследованию особенностей функционирования дисфемизмов, которые являются неоднозначным и, в то же самое время, неотъемлемым признаком современного зарубежного кинематографа, а их выбор обусловлен индивидуальностью создателя фильма, его чувством юмора, стремлением дать максимально наглядный речевой портрет киногероя. В основе привлечения дисфемизмов зачастую лежат стремление к яркости, броскости высказывания, обозначение субгрупповой принадлежности, намерение побудить к немедленному эффективному взаимодействия и демонстрация доминирующей социальной позиции. Научная новизна состоит в обращении к проблеме политкорректности как движении равных возможностей для всех рас, национальностей и людей с специфическими отличиями, вступающей в противоречие с творческой задачей сценаристов кинодрам. Объектом исследования выступает более 30-ти дисфемизмов английского языка, характеризующихся специфическим набором сниженных лексико-фразеологических средств: табу, вульгаризмы, бранные выражения (эксплетивы) и инвективы. Актуальность исследования дисфемизмов многократно усиливается в наши дни вследствие необходимости соблюдения языковых норм и требований цензуры в кинопрокате. Проведен анализ функционирования дисфемизмов в зарубежном кинодискурсе, основанный на комплексном семантико-дискурсивном и прагматическом анализе. Анализ продемонстрировал, что благодаря своей шоковой силе, дисфемизмы способны создавать правдоподобные речевые образы киногероев и траекторию их поведения.

Dysphemisms and their role in English-language films

The article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of the functioning of dysphemisms, which are ambiguous and, at the same time, an integral feature of modern foreign cinema, and their choice is due to the individuality of the creator of the film, his sense of humour, the desire to give the most visual speech portrait of a movie character. The basis of the usage of dysphemisms in film is formed by the need for vividness, catchiness of the character’s speech, the delineation of the sub-group affiliation, the desire to give an impact for the immediate efficient action and the display of the dominant social status. The scientific novelty consists in addressing the problem of political correctness as a movement of equal opportunities for all races, nationalities and people with specific differences, which contradicts the creative task of screenwriters of film dramatists. Private linguistic methods of observation, description and qualitative calculation are being used together with the general universal linguistic method of comparison. The informative exemplificative framework of the paper is compiled from 300 expressions-dysphemisms in English derived by the method of continuous sampling from 19 film of the modern Western cinematography standing out due to their high level of dysphemisms usage as is shown in scripts from the Internet source scripts.com and dictionaries of slang and jargon. Taking the many-sided study into account, the paper has found that there are more than 60 dysphemisms describing gender and sex, social and physiological thematic fields covered by dysphemisms. These units are extensively used in the Western filmmaking degrading the speech of film characters and the general cultural aura of the film industry. The easiness of dysphemisms’ application and its frequency is astonishing, telling much about the cultural level of the modernity.
