Освоение Европейского Северо-Востока России в научной мысли XIX века

Проблема истории освоения северных территорий России в последнее время вызывает повышенный интерес исследователей. В центре внимания автора проблема научного изучения Европейского Северо-Востока России в XIX в. В качестве источниковой базы рассматриваются научные публикации (монографии, статьи, отчеты) участников первых исследовательских экспедиций, инициированных государственными и научными ведомствами для изучения Европейского Северо-Востока России. На основе анализа работ реконструирован процесс накопления научных данных о Европейском Северо-Востоке России в течение XIX в. Проведенное исследование позволило сделать вывод, что процесс накопления знаний о северных территориях в этот период складывался неравномерно и формировался из запросов государственных структур. Полученные к концу XIX столетия научные данные стали важной основой для научного и промышленного освоения Европейского Северо-Востока России в XX в.

Development of the European North-East of Russia in the scientific thought of the 19th century

The problem of the history of the development of the northern territories of Russia has recently aroused the increased interest of researchers, which is explained by the general attention to the development of the North and the Arctic in modern society, which in turn actualizes the appeal to the historical experience of their study. The author focuses on the problem of scientific study of the European North-East of Russia in the 19th century. During this period, the first steps to scientific knowledge of this territory were taken. During the 19th century state and scientific departments for the studying the European North-East of Russia initiated the first special research expeditions, the priority areas of which were studying the natural resource potential of the territory. The publications of participants in these expeditions (monographs, articles, reports, etc.) are considered as a source base. By the analysis of these documents the process of accumulating scientific data on the European North-East of Russia during the 19th century has been reconstructed. It was concluded that the process of accumulating knowledge about the northern territories during this period developed unevenly and was formed from requests from state structures for the search for minerals. The scientific data obtained by the end of the 19th century became an important basis for the scientific and industrial development of the European North-East of Russia in the 20th century.
