КОРПУС ДОКУМЕНТОВ ВЫШНЕВОЛОЦКОГО ГИДРОУЗЛА КАК ИСТОЧНИК ПО ИСТОРИИ ВОДНЫХ СИСТЕМ РОССИИ В XVIII В.

Аннотация. Вопрос истории развития Вышневолоцкого водного пути в конце XVIII в. во многом остается неизученным. Документы, освещающие причины, ход и итоги работ по реконструкции Вышневолоцкой водной системы 1780 – 1790-х гг. находятся в различных архивах, в том числе и в ведомственных, таких как архив Вышневолоцкого гидроузла. Они мало изучены или вовсе не исследованы. В статье рассматривается корпус документов Вышневолоцкого гидроузла, посвященный путешествию императрицы Екатерины II по Вышневолоцкой водной системе, а также документы по началу строительства Мстинского шлюза, Дубковского бейшлота и других гидротехнических сооружений в верховьях реки Мсты, которые стали итогом поездки императрицы Екатерины II 1785 года. В результате исследуемый корпус документов позволяет создать наиболее полную картину подготовки приезда императрицы в Вышний Волочек, произведенные работы, выявить неизвестные ранее имена участников событий, оценить итоги пребывания Екатерины II в Вышнем Волочке и мероприятия по реконструкции старых и постройке новых гидротехнических объектов водного пути.

VYSHNEVOLOTSK HYDROELECTRIC COMPLEX DOCUMENT CORPUS: SOURCE ON HISTORY OF RUSSIAN WATER SYSTEMS IN 18TH CENTURY

 Abstract. The development of the Vyshnevolotsk waterway at the end of the 18th century remains a largely underexplored chapter in Russian history. Archival documents detailing the causes, progress, and outcomes of the reconstruction of the Vyshnevolotsk water system during the 1780s and 1790s are dispersed across various repositories, including departmental archives such as that of the Vyshnevolotsk hydroelectric complex. Many of these records have received little to no scholarly attention. This article analyzes a corpus of documents from the Vyshnevolotsk hydroelectric complex archive, focusing on materials related to Empress Catherine II’s journey along the Vyshnevolotsk water system. It also examines records concerning the initiation of construction on the Mstinsky sluice, the Dubkovskybeyshlot and other hydraulic structures in the upper reaches of the Msta River — projects that were direct outcomes of Catherine II’s visit to VyshnyVolochok in 1785. The studied documents offer a comprehensive view of the preparations for the Empress’s arrival in VyshnyVolochok, the work carried out, and the identification of previously unknown participants in these events. Furthermore, they provide valuable insights into the impact of Catherine II’s visit and the subsequent measures taken to reconstruct existing and build new hydraulic structures along the waterway.
