Человек и история в романе Гузель Яхиной «Эшелон на Самарканд»

Одной из черт творчества современного автора Гузель Яхиной является обращение к драматичным событиям истории страны. В романе «Эшелон на Самарканд» основной темой становится изображение голода в начале 1920-х годов. В первую очередь, эта тема раскрывается на примере судеб детей, спасение которых — ключевая коллизия произведения. Сюжетообразующим в романе становится мотив пути, с развитием которого связано несколько смыслов: это и фактическое движение поезда из Казани до Самарканда, и путь детей от жизни к смерти, от бездомья к дому, и жизненный путь главных героев. Мотив пути позволяет расширить романную перспективу, персонажную сферу, включив в нее большое количество героев, занимающих разные позиции по отношению к новому советскому строю, что дает возможность передать драматизм эпохи. Автор показывает, что даже в самых бесчеловечных исторических обстоятельствах в людях не до конца умерла гуманность, которая проявляется в их участии в спасении детей.

The person and history in the “Echelon to Samarkand” novel by Guzel Yakhina

One of the features of the work of the modern author Guzel Yakhina is an appeal to the dramatic events of the country's history. In the novel “Echelon to Samarkand”, the main theme is the depiction of the famine in the early 1920s. First of all, this topic is revealed on the example of the fate of children, whose rescue is the key collision of the work. The motive of the path becomes plot-forming in the novel, with the development of which several meanings are connected: this is the actual movement of the train from Kazan to Samarkand, and the path of children from life to death, from homelessness to home, and the life path of the main characters. The motive of the path allows you to expand the novel perspective, the character sphere, to include in it a large number of heroes who occupy different positions in relation to the new Soviet system, which makes it possible to refer to the drama of the era. The author shows that even in the most inhuman historical circumstances, humanity has not completely died in people, which manifests itself in their participation in saving children.
