РЕКОНСТРУКЦИЯ НЕЗРИМОГО:
ЗДАНИЕ НАРВСКОГО КОЛЛЕДЖА ТАРТУСКОГО УНИВЕРСИТЕТА
В ИСТОРИЧЕСКОМ ОБЛИКЕ ГОРОДА

Проблема соотношения истории и современности в данной статье представлена в контексте визуальной риторики архитектуры Нарвского колледжа Тартуского университета. В качестве незримого элемента архитектурной композиции нового здания Нарвского колледжа рассматриваются не только утраченные фасады биржи, находившейся на его месте, но и культурные смыслы, присущие конкретному локусу. Эстетические, семантические и функциональные элементы нового здания на Ратушной площади сопоставлены с этими культурными смыслами. Для анализа были выбраны основные концепты городской среды, характерные для исторической и современной Нарвы: город – хранитель истории, город-граница, город – торговый центр, город – центр науки и культуры. С помощью выделенных концептов исследованы способы репрезентации исторического времени в современном городском ансамбле, а также возможности развития города в будущем. Университетская среда реализуется как структура, в которую включены различные аспекты исторического и антропологического опыта города. В последнем разделе статьи проанализированы архитектурные формы нового здания колледжа, соотношение их стилистического и концептуального решения. С возведением Нарвского колледжа связан ставший наиболее болезненным для города вопрос о невозможности реконструкции старого здания и восстановления былого облика Ратушной площади. Этот вопрос обостряет чувство прошлого и делает более отчётливым архитектурный замысел, в контексте которого реконструкция обретает новый смысл, связанный с феноменом культурной памяти.

RECONSTRUCTION OF INVISIBLE.
THE BUILDING OF NARVA COLLEGE (TARTU UNIVERSITY)
IN THE HISTORICAL IMAGE OF THE CITY

The paper is dedicated to problems of history and modernity which given in a context of visual rhetoric of Narva College of the University of Tartu. Not only lost facades of Stock Exchange, which used to be there before the college time, but also the cultural meanings inherent in the particular locus are being discussed as invisible elements of the architectural composition of the new building. Aesthetic, semantic and functional elements of the new building on the Raekoja Plats are compared with these cultural meanings. Main concepts of urban environment (such as keeper of history, border town, trade center, center of science and culture) distinctive for both: old and modern Narva were analyzed. With the aid of highlighted concepts, different ways of Historical time representation in the modern architectural ensemble are investigated. The university environment is implemented as a structure that includes various aspects of the historical and anthropological city experience. The last section of the article analyzes the architectural forms of the new college building, as well as their stylistic and conceptual features. There is a painful issue associated with Narva College building about impossibility of reconstructing the old Raekoja Plats buildings and restoration its exterior. This issue intensifies the sense of past and clears the architectural intention in the context of which reconstruction can be considered in a new meaning related to the phenomenon of cultural memory.
