К ВОПРОСУ О РОЖДЕНИИ ХРИСТИАНСКОЙ ЕВРОПЫ

Аннотация. Статья посвящена исследованию темы рождения христианской Европы, которая получила обоснование в школе «Анналов» Марка Блока и Люсьена Февра и благодаря усилиям Жака Ле Гоффа стала одним из фундаментальных направлений в современной исторической науке. Автор иллюстрирует предпосылки возникновения идеи о становлении Европейской цивилизации, опираясь на работы А. Журдена и Ч. Х. Хаскинса, а затем на ранние работы Л. П. Карсавина. Автор стремится раскрыть в карсавинских трудах значение и характерные особенности понятий «вера» и «религиозность», а также определить, почему Франциск из Ассизи и Анджела из Фолиньо выделены Карсавиным в качестве ведущих деятелей эпохи конца Средиземноморской и начала Европейской цивилизаций.

ON THE BIRTH OF CHRISTIAN EUROPE

Abstract. The article is dedicated to the formation of European civilization. The topic was substantiated by the Annales school of M. Bloch and L. Febvre and by virtue of J. Le Goff’s efforts it has become one of the fundamental directions in modern historical science. The author illustrates the premises of the topic of the formation of a new civilization by the works of Amable Jourdain, Charles H. Haskins and defines the premises further in the early works of Leo P. Karsavin. The author seeks to reveal the characteristic features of the concepts of faith and religiosity in Karsavin’s writing, and to decide why Francis of Assisi and Angela da Foligno are singled out by Karsavin as leading Christian figures of the era of the 12th – 14th centuries, end of Mediterranean and beginning of European civilization.
